Yay! I saw a screening about 7 days ago, but I am seeing reports that there will be an additional scene starting Friday? I am glad that I am also going to the midnight opening.

saw the midnight screening. loved it, though I wish they hadn't done re-takes of the dialogue/scenes used in the trailers, it made the cadence seem...off when those moments came up in the actual movie. And I really want some shawarma now.

Those BASTARDS! And then Fury immediately lied about him!! I could hardly even believe he was dead, and then it kind of got lost in all the fight scenes

My head-canon is that Fury lied about the cards because Fury also lied about Coulson being dead. Did any of the other Avengers see the body? Coulson is being treated in a secret SHIELD hospital and Fury visits him each night with a fancy home-cooked (convalescence-appropriate) meal. Why yes, I ship Fury/Coulson.

I like the way you think. If Fury has no problem with small lies to manipulate people into behaving the way he wants, then he would probably lie about something big, too.

I think this as well. Also, they don't show him checking if Coulson is actually dead or anything he just stands up the medical guess run in and you have scene change. So, ok I know most movies jump to the oh he's dead because his eyes are closed sorta thing. But, I'd like to think they didn't do that here. >.>

At anyrate it is open enough they can bring him back if need be. I'm uncertain if I want them to or not though.
