Warnings: Spoliers for not only the fic by Verityburns, but also season 1of Sherlock.
Notes: This is my second fanmix, and the biggest one I have done to date. I'm not going to lie, this fanmix wasn't easy to compile, but it was totally worth it! I would also like to warn you that this mix has a little bit of everything:pop, rock, country, and R&B.  I did this fanmix as an art entry to Sly_Hostetter & Podfic_Lover's podfic of verityburn's 'The Road Less Traveled' that they both did for Podfic Big Bang.

Note: So after my computer crashed yet again for the second time. I have this computer for about a year, and now it decided to be a little bitch and not work. Jesus. I'm looking at some creative way to back up my stuff. I might even go over to carbonite when I get my money until then. I will zip file everything, and put on my 4shared. Also I have slacked off considerablly due to computer failure, and the summer taking up all my free time due to the kids being at home 24/7. So I'm getting back into the habbit. For a second, I thought about giving up on transcriptionist, but I realized a couple things. (1) I really want to be a transcriptionist, (2) I already spent a lot money to get started in this career path, (3) I can really do this if I really tried. So I'm doing it. Enough of my rambling. Here's the agenda:

I hardly ever put any posts publicly. They are usually in f-lock or private lock. However, I have to say that my computer has died. And all of my files, and my Big Bang projects are gone. Luckily I have Podficbig Bang up already or I would of been screwed. Crossover Big Bang is due next week, and I have to totally redo it. Unfortunately, it's only going to be the two pieces instead of the 17 pieces I originally made. I have to contact my author sometime today to let her know. I'm such a stupid ass, that I didn't back up anything. I won't make that mistake again. So friends, if you hear from sporadically for now on. I'm busy trying to repair the scrambles of my computer.

New Wireless Adapter

Finally got rid of my old wireless adapter, and my new one came in the mail today. No more having to restart my computer to get on the internet. I'm so happy! *Does Happy Dance* Will keep you (meaning the 1 person who reads this journal) updated on how well it works.

adrianneb78239: (L&C)
Oh, this was so much fun. I totally enjoyed it. Writing makes me want to slam my a head against the door. However, I so love it and enjoy writing. And I couldn't imagine my self without writing, or more likely trying to write something. It's so ingrained with me now. While meanwhile, doing graphic is sometimes frustrating, but it actually calms me down. I love doing it as a hobby, and I find it fun trying to match my works with professionals in the field. And yah, most of the time I end up losing but, I still have fun. I really had a great time with doing Small Fandom Big Bang. Everyone over there was fabolous from the mod, on to my author taibrigh? on down. I'm totally doing it next year.

And now it's on to Werewolf Big Bang. *rolls eyes* I'm a sucker for a good supernatural/paranormal story. And, although my attention has been firmly on SFBB, now I can put my full attention on WBB. So many good writers over there, and I'm salavating on what I get to choose in the artist claiming. It looks like there are so many great stories that I will get to choose to from.

Anyway, I have to go. One BB down, several to go. (I'm totally insane).
adrianneb78239: (GQMF-reid)

I totally forgot about it, even though I had the auction marked in my Google Calender. I offered my graphics, but today I went back to check if I got a bid. Not One. However, I kinda relieved that I'm not the only that happened to. Anyway, least I tried to help with charity, although usually I don't have a lot of money to contribute and I jumped at the chance to help. I have another auction on April 1st for GLSEN, which I offered a lot more than I did rainbow support. I only offered ten icons ,because I have nine other Big Bangs to contribute graphics for. And the fanmix for podfic big bang almost killed me. I will never again suggest that doing famixes are easy, because the one I did spanked my ass.

Although, I'm proud of the end result, I'm not going ever do a fanmix again for as long I live.

Oh, and just be a complete nut case, I have a special project that I'm working on. I'm not kidding, my series bible totally disappeared, and I had rebuilt all that content again from scratch. Although, I wanted to cry, I took this as a chance to recalibrate things that weren't working. I'm pretty happy with it.

Dear friends,

I have been on livejournal for five years, and in fandom for close to ten years. *shakes head* This has been the home for great fannish writers, fiction, and discussion. And I eventually left FF.net for livejournal, so I can join in the great community of fannish people.

Admittedly,I'm a loner, I don't usually interact with a lot of other people. I mostly use this journal to post my fics, or comment of other people fics, or to soak up the great enthusiastic fannish aura here. I was happy to stay here forever. And this year, I even went so far is to pay for paid account for the first time ever.

However, in the last year I have witnessed some horrendous behavior from lj. I'm not at all happy with how livejournal has been treating their users. How they implemented a new design without any input from their customers. And  how one of the Russian staff that basically said that they couldn't care less what their customers wanted, and that we take our concerns and shove it. For example: http://theljstaff.livejournal.com/4189.html.

The staff proudly posted on the ljstaff page a link to article that said outright that livejournal doesn't care about it's users:

LiveJournal's leadership has made it clear that their future American business strategy lies in generating new traffic rather than catering to the service's current small-but-loyal membership. The challenge for Petrochenko and other executives at LiveJournal will be redefining the brand's identity in a crowded media marketplace.

I don't put up with disrespect from the people around me, from the companies that I patronage, or from the authors, and writers from my favorite television, movies, and books. This has always been turn off for me. It's one of the reasons I have skipped some more popular fandoms.

For me this is the last, and final straw. And so I have made the very hard decision, after five years of patronage that I'm permanently leaving lj, and moving to Dreamwidith.

I very much encourage all of my friends, and fandoms to do the same.

I found the link to conversation of the previous mentioned russian staffer, who I discover his user name is [livejournal.com profile] igrick or I would like to call him iprick. It was translated from Russian to English by other Russian users. I also found a very awesome fanmix by [livejournal.com profile] dwg

ACTA in a Nutshell –

What is ACTA?  ACTA is the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. A new intellectual property enforcement treaty being negotiated by the United States, the European Community, Switzerland, and Japan, with Australia, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Mexico, Jordan, Morocco, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada recently announcing that they will join in as well.

Why should you care about ACTA? Initial reports indicate that the treaty will have a very broad scope and will involve new tools targeting “Internet distribution and information technology.”

What is the goal of ACTA? Reportedly the goal is to create new legal standards of intellectual property enforcement, as well as increased international cooperation, an example of which would be an increase in information sharing between signatory countries’ law enforcement agencies.

Essential ACTA Resources

  • Read more about ACTA here: ACTA Fact Sheet
  • Read the authentic version of the ACTA text as of 15 April 2011, as finalized by participating countries here: ACTA Finalized Text
  • Follow the history of the treaty’s formation here: ACTA history
  • Read letters from U.S. Senator Ron Wyden wherein he challenges the constitutionality of ACTA: Letter 1 | Letter 2 | Read the Administration’s Response to Wyden’s First Letter here: Response
  • Watch a short informative video on ACTA: ACTA Video
  • Watch a lulzy video on ACTA: Lulzy Video

Say NO to ACTA. It is essential to spread awareness and get the word out on ACTA.

Why SOPA is dangerous
To Sum Up
SOPA:
  • Gives the government the right to unilaterally censor foreign websites.
  • Gives copyright holders the right to issue economic takedowns and bring lawsuits against website owners and operators, if those websites have features that make it possible to post infringing content. [A comment feature is enough.]
  • Makes it a felony offense to post a copyrighted song or video.

This bill turns us all into criminals. If it passes, then you either stop using the Internet, or you simply hope that you never end up in the crosshairs, because if you’re targeted, you will be destroyed by this bill. You don’t have to be a big, mean, nasty criminal — common Internet usage is effectively criminalized under this law. This bill will kill American innovation and development of the Internet, as it will become too risky to do anything of value. It is toxic and dangerous, and should not, under any circumstances, be supported.
